Sysweeper Install

To install the new Webroot Spysweeper on the computers in your room, please follow these directions:

Click on the following Link: SpySweeperSetup and once the dialog windows opens asking you to open or save, chose open (run). The Application will self extract and automatically install. No other configuration is necessary after installation. You will see the SpySweeper icon in the system tray of your task bar.

To manage your system:

Start Webroot Spysweeper, double click on the yellow "Radar Screen" in the system tray and select Sweep Now - that's all! The best practice is to run the sweep once per week. This updated version of SpySweeper does not suffer the slowness of the previous SpySweeper client.

The system sweep will occur automatically.

All other updates to the client and the Spyware definitions are handled automatically over the course of the day so no other adjustments are necessary.

Spysweeper will proactively prevent Spyware from launching. You may be asked to confirm any applications you run or bookmarks you add.
