The foreign language department offers a proficiency-based curriculum consisting of four years of college preparatory Spanish and French and three years of German.

Ninth grade students who enroll with previous world language experience at the middle school level may enroll in higher levels, if they qualify.

Students entering Rogers from any other school, who want to begin at an advanced level must meet with Rogers Foreign Language Department Chairperson and/or pass a placement exam.

Regardless of the level at which the student begins in grade nine, he/she must complete a recommended three years of the same language at Rogers in order to have the minimum college preparatory requirements of two years of a foreign language in high school. Students considering a foreign language for grade nine should be aware that they could begin in either 9th or 10th grade and still fulfill the college requirements.
