Credit Requirements: A
minimum of 24 credits
Course Requirements:
- English – 4 years
- Mathematics – 4 years (one year can be a math related course such as Physics, Accounting)
- Social Studies – 3 years
- Science – 3 years (2 labs)
- P.E./Health/Dance/JROTC – 4 years
- Technology – ½ year
- Arts – ½ year
- Seniors are required to complete Senior Project
- Students must complete End of Course exams for each semester
- Students must participate in the New England Common
Assessment Program
CREDITS
One credit is awarded for the satisfactory completion of a subject that meets five class periods per week for an entire academic year. Half-credit courses meet five class periods per week for a semester.
PROMOTION
A student in grade nine must earn a minimum of five credits in order to be promoted to grade ten. To be promoted from grade ten to grade eleven, a student must earn a minimum of ten credits. Furthermore, to be a candidate for graduation in four years, a student must earn a minimum of 6 credits in each academic year. A minimum of 24 credits is required for graduation. Regardless of credit status and to ensure academic rigor all students in their senior year must obtain a minimum of 5 credits.
