OUR TOWN
The Rogers Theatre Company is pleased to announce the performance dates and times of its spring production of the classic Thornton Wilder play “Our Town.” This timeless masterpiece in three acts follows the life of the residents of the imaginary town of Grovers Corners New Hampshire, through their daily life, their love and marriage and right into the grave. The production will be shown only twice, at 7pm on both May 18th and 19th, Friday and Saturday nights. You don’t want to miss this memorable show! Tickets will be available at the door, $5 general admission.
SPORTS AWARD DINNER
Rogers High School Boosters Club 44th Annual Sports Award Dinner is going to be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 5:00 PM, so please reserve that date. All senior athletes who have completed a season in their chosen sport will be invited to the dinner in the upcoming week. Please RSVP to the invitation or reservations can be made by calling Mr. Cawley at 847-6235 or by emailing Marlene Horan at mjhhoran@cox.net. We need students and their families to let us know how many will be attending for the count. Senior Athletes attend the dinner free of charge and the cost is $8.00 per person for all others.

SPORTS REPORT
Fall Cheerleading tryouts are this Sunday and Monday nights. Sunday is from 5:30-8:00PM.
The Sailing team yesterday earned 2 wins against East Greenwich and Bishop Hendricken. On Tuesday they also had a strong showing at the RI Women’s State Championships placing 4th overall.
Today the Varsity Softball team hits the road to battle it out at 4pm with South Kingstown.
Golf looks to finish on a positive note as they travel to play Portsmouth at Green Valley Country Club.
The Selection Committee for the Newport District Teacher of the Year has chosen Ms. Coleen Hermes, Social StudiesTeacher and Department Chair at Rogers High School as this year's honoree. Ms. Hermes is representative of the many outstanding teachers that Newport Public Schools has working everyday to support our students.
